The Lumen Vineyard Experience

Your special afternoon will begin in Los Alamos where you will board The Wine Shepherd, a Sprinter van that will take you to the heart of the Santa Maria Valley for a visit to Lumen’s estate vineyards. The first stop will be the Warner Henry Vineyard, named after Will’s late father and planted in 2021. You will learn about the five clones of Pinot Noir, the microclimate that makes this region so well-suited to growing the variety, and what the obscure grape variety is that was planted amongst the Pinot Noir vines. A wine tasting will follow in the vineyard, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of Lumen’s rarities and hear about our minimalist approach to winemaking. You will then drive down the hill to the Wild King Vineyard, and hear why this special plot of land earned its name, before returning to Los Alamos for a multi-course meal at Pico.

$125 per person including transportation & wine tasting. Three-course meal at Pico is an additional $90 per person.
